DESCHUTES COUNTY, OR - On Friday, September 29, 2023, at approximately 5:40 A.M., the Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on HWY-20, near milepost 92, in Deschutes County.

The preliminary investigation indicated a Honda Accord, operated by Timothy Shannon Forgett (57) of Boise (ID), was traveling eastbound when the operator lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway.  The vehicle struck a tree on the eastbound shoulder.  

The operator (Forgett) was declared deceased at the scene.

The highway was not impacted during the on-scene investigation.

OSP was assisted by Black Butte Fire and ODOT.
